Charamba

In the 1990’s Aveleda took a brave and courageous step towards the winemaking in other regions. In this case, it has been the Douro Region, famous for the production of Port Wine and home of some of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers.

It is named after a traditional folk dance and its soul relies on those values: tradition that pleases the senses.

Charamba is produced from the typical varieties used to the elaboration of Port Wine: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.

Elegant and with fine fresh berries aromas, Charamba has become quickly one of the most successful wines from Aveleda internationally:
